To search the General Historical Database, specify at least one of the following, or as many of them as you wish, then click 'search'. It's easiest just to search by surname (and variants). The search will return results containing your specified target, e.g. searching for 'Smith' will find surnames 'Smith', 'Smithson', and 'Goldsmith'. As some records have empty fields, you will get more results by specifying fewer search criteria. |
